Synopsis: The latest episode in Hulu’s horror anthology series, INTO THE DARK: SCHOOL SPIRIT, follows a group of social outcasts who are stuck in weekend detention are confronted by the school’s legendary hauntings.

Why Open: Mike Gan rewrote and directed the film, which now centers around ‘Erica Yang’, a disturbingly ambitious high school student who has to spend the day detention, ala ‘The Breakfast Club’. It’s one of the only slasher/horror films starring an Asian American character, centered around Asian American academic pressures.
